Tammy Campbell founded The Right Choice Electronics Inc., a
leading stocking distributor for quality electronic components,
with her partner and husband, Robert B. Campbell III. In a short
period of time, Ms. Campbell has directed her St. Petersburg,
Fl.-based company to leadership status in a very competitive
industry, with satisfied customers worldwide.
The Right Choice Electronics specializes in providing hard-to-find,
allocated, obsolete active and passive electronics products.
Under Ms. Campbells leadership, TRC has experienced significant
growth in both gross sales and customer base.
Ms. Campbell began her electronics career in the early 1990s,
serving in the sales department of a major electronics distributorship.
In short order she was elevated to senior account executive
on the basis of her performance she was consistently
in the top five percent of sales associates during her entire
six-year tenure, generating millions of dollars in gross profit
for her employer during that time.
While consistently excelling in sales, Ms. Campbell also sought
out other responsibilities. She served on a small committee
that brought her company into compliance with ISO 9000 standards
and, once that goal was accomplished, co-authored the company
procedure manual designed to maintain the ISO 9000 certification.
Before entering the electronics industry, Ms. Campbell enjoyed
a successful business career that began as an assistant to a
team of stockbrokers and then led her into the defense industry,
where she held a number of administrative positions. She served
for three years as international trade show manager for Defense
News before beginning her sales career as an account executive
for Val-Pak in Clearwater, Fl., a position she held for three
years.
Ms. Campbell and her husband are deeply involved in the community
in which they live and work, contributing regularly to a range
of charitable organizations and relief projects. They provide
time, dollars and expertise to The Childrens Home in Tampa,
and they work closely with the Humane Society of North Pinellas
County, offering 24-hour emergency in-home care for orphaned,
ill or otherwise-compromised animals. In addition, Ms. Campbell
helped initiate establishment of a temporary emergency animal
rescue site in South Florida following Hurricane Andrew.
Tammy and Robert Campbell are the parents of a five-year-old
son, Chase.
